"Why does my computer keep freezing up?" I was asked by a lot of people the cause of their pc free problems. And I am fed up with spending much time in answering the question time and time again. This article is to tell you the real cause of your PC Freezes.
Many people think it is the low RAM resource that results in the lockup problem. So they upgrade their RAM to 2 G, 4 G or even higher. But unfortunately only a few people successfully resolve the problem. Why? Because the shortage of RAM is only one of the possible causes that lead to only approximately 20% of the PC lockup / freeze problems.
The most probable cause of your trouble is the system problem – Registry Errors! That is the reason why people who already have more than 2 G RAM on their computers are still constantly bothered by the problem.
What is registry? It is the system database in which your most important system information and program settings are saved. It contains all the vital directive information for your Windows system. Your system needs to access the data in registry before it can execute a certain operation and process like system shutdown, restart, running a program, opening a file and so on.
But registry is easily corrupted and damaged when you are using your computer. Overtime, without proper maintenance, it will be loaded with errors and incorrect or even missing information which will make your system unable to work properly or implement a certain task. And when your system can not find the correct information, it will not know what to do. Then it freezes up! That is the real cause of your trouble.
How to fix the registry errors and stop your computer from freezing? You can download a good registry cleaner and install it on your computer. Then run a thorough scan in your registry. Your trouble will go away. And keep in mind that registry is easily damaged. You need to clean it up by running the registry cleaner once or twice a month at least, or you will have the problem again.

Runtime Error 482 is caused by a system’s inability to connect to the “Printform” Windows library from applications which are still using the VBA (Visual Basic) integration engine.
Though the error shows in Windows 10, it’s typically when using Adobe Acrobat or another “Print to PDF” application.
The solution to Runtime Error 482 to is to first ensure you have the appropriate printer installed (most don’t) and then – if the error persists – change / remove any references to the printer setup from any VBA applications.
If you’re seeing the error when you’re trying to “Print to PDF”, you’ll want to make sure you have the correct PDF drivers installed, and that the application you’re using is compatible with Windows 10.
The steps outlined in this tutorial should explain how to fix it…
The underlying problem with the Runtime Error 428 comes from the way in which Windows works with its underlying hardware.
When you use Windows, there are a number of “sub systems” which allow the system to connect with a number peripherals and other devices. These sub systems are called “drivers” and need other software to connect to them.
It’s the case with this error that the hardware you’re trying to connect to your system is not responding, the likes of the 428 error will appear. Now, whilst the error used to be quite common (and still is for Windows 10) – most people are unaware of the cause of the issue, and that it’s actually caused by the Visual Basic runtime environment – a series of different files / applications designed to interface applications with deeper Windows processes.
Visual Basic is ancient technology now – but it’s still used by the likes of Excel and a number of third party applications (including Citrix and Adobe Acrobat) to provide embedded functionality for a system. It’s this integration which is damaged and corrupted on your PC (leading the error to show). When you try and use the “printer” on your system, the problem is that the application you’re using will basically be either using an outdated, or damaged, version of the VBA Printform engine, leading the error to show.
The fix is to ensure your printer is installed – and working – properly, and then that there are no underlying issues with your system.
Whilst Microsoft recommend using the SFC (System File Checker) and DISM (Deployment Image Servicing and Management) tools to resolve any underlying issues with the system itself – the problem may be somewhat more acute / simple to deal with than that.
We’ve found it’s often the case that VBA is the issue, and by updating either the application in question – or the underlying application or the various VC++ redistributable applications – to resolve the issue.
1. Re-Install Printer
The first step is to re-install the printer on your system.
This might sound drastic, but is actually a very good way to resolve the majority of “printer” errors – typically because of how the drivers of the printer can sometimes become damaged or corrupted.
To do this, you should use the following steps:
- Right-click on the “Start” button (bottom left screen)
- Select “Device Manager”
- Scroll down to “Printers”
- Right-click any of the printers causing the issue
- Select “Uninstall”
- Follow the steps on screen
- Restart your PC
After restart, Windows 10 should begin to automatically add the printer again.
To check this – you can use the following steps:
- Left-click the “Start” button (bottom left screen)
- From the left “charms” menu, select the “cog” (this is for the “settings” applet)
- Click on “Devices” (top row)
- From the left menu, select “Printers & Scanners”
- If the printer doesn’t appear, select “Add a printer or scanner”
- Follow the steps on screen
Let this process happen and then attempt to print again with it. If the error is not resolved, or your printer is not listed, move onto the next step.
2. Clear Printer Spooler
The next issue might be that the “print spooler” has been causing problems.
The print spooler is basically a queue through which Windows is able to manage the various print jobs. Anyone familiar with Windows 95 / 98 will likely remember the joys of dealing with a constantly corrupting print spooler.
To resolve one of the more common reasons why the Runtime 482 error shows, you should clear out the print spooler:
- Press “Windows”+”S” keys on the keyboard
- In the search box, type “CMD”, right-click and select “Run As Administrator”
- Type: net stop spooler and then press Enter
- Type (pay attention to the spaces): DEL /F /S /Q %systemroot%System32spoolPRINTERS and then press Enter
- Type: net start spooler and then press Enter
This will restart the spooler, having cleared out any of the underlying queues / pools which may have existed in the system.
3. Re-Install Affected Software
A number of people have reported the error to occur when using Adobe Acrobat, as well as a number of other tools.
You should re-install any affected software because there firstly might be updates available, and secondly might have some underlying issues in terms of compatibility or similar.
To do this (if you don’t already know) is relatively simple:
- Right-click on the “Start” button (bottom left of taskbar)
- Select “Apps and Features”
- From the list, select the application causing the errors
- Select “Uninstall”
- Allow the process to proceed
- Restart your PC
- Install the software again (preferably downloading the latest version from the Internet)
If you’re a seasoned computer user, you’ll probably have tried this already. If not, it should at least ensure that the application that’s causing the error is running as up to date as possible.
4. Re-Install.NET & VC++
If the above does not work, it *could* be the case that some of Windows’ core dependencies (software libraries it uses to run) are either corrupted, damaged or out of date.
There are two systems which are most pertinent here – .NET or Visual C++ (VC++). Re-Installing both gives you the ability to ensure that your system is able to use the files/settings required to get it working properly…
- Press “Windows” + “S” keys on your keyboard
- Into the “Search” box, type “Control Panel”
- Scroll to “Programs and Features”
- Look for “Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable” listings
- From the list, note down the “year” number for any of the versions you have installed (for example “2012”), as well as the “architecture” version (x86 / x64)
- Right click each and select “Uninstall”
Once you’ve uninstalled them all (don’t worry, it won’t cause any damage to your system although it will likely stop a number of applications working until they are re-installed), browse to your search engine of choice and type “vc++ download”.
The first result should come up with a page for Microsoft showing the “Latest Supported Visual C++ Downloads” – this will give you a full list of the libraries you just removed.
From the list, you need to download each and install them again.
When this is complete, you then need to click onto “Turn Windows Features On or Off” from the left panel.
At the top should be listed several “.NET” listings. Click on the 4.7 version and make sure that it’s installed properly. If it isn’t, we’ll need to re-install it:
- Go to your search engine of choice
- Type “.NET Download”
- This should bring up a page “.NET Downloads” from Microsoft
- Click it and then download the latest version of the .NET Framework
- Save it to your hard drive and let it install on your system
This should ensure that any application tapping into VBA will be able to access the correct files etc.
5. Run SFC/DISM
Finally, you need to look at running the SFC/DISM tools.
These won’t fix the error directly, but will ensure that you have a system running as smoothly as possible…
- Press “Windows” + “S” keys on your keyboard
- Type “CMD” and then right-click + select “Run as Administrator” on the app which shows
- When CMD loads, type “SFC /scannow” and press Enter
- Let the system run (shouldn’t take too long) and it will resolve any issues it finds automatically
- After this, type the following: “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” and press “Enter”
- This should take considerably longer than SFC, but should clean out the majority of issues within the Windows system
If the error persists after doing this, it suggests a more specific problem with your PC. It could be anything from antivirus to a specific setting causing issues – the next step would either be to gain the opinion of a technician OR get insight from the manufacturers of the software causing the problem. In either case, there’s going to be a core issue leading the error to show.

You would probably be confused if someone tells you that you can actually detect hidden cameras through your cell phone detector. There can be many reasons for someone to keep a constant watch on you through hidden bugs planted in your living room or office. And if you do not have a camera detector with you then it can get very difficult for you to locate any hidden bug. But detection through cell phones might save the day for you, and in case of important business dealings might save you a fortune.
Detection mobile can work in a similar fashion as a standard bug finder that is available on the market. A cell phone detector can be very handy, and people always carry their mobile phones with them wherever they go, so it's not something that you will have to remind yourself about.
Mobile phones can work as detectors by picking up frequencies emitted from the wireless cameras that are hidden either in your room or office for spying on you. These are a great and simple way of detecting a hidden bug anywhere in your room or office.
How to use Mobile phones as detectors
1. Using the mobile phones as detectors is quite simple and the initial process is similar to how the standard bug finder is used. Take your cell phone detector in your hands and start from a certain location in your room. The starting point can be from everywhere, the purpose is to make you sure about the starting point.
2. You need to ensure that all the electrical appliances in the room are switched off. All sorts of devices that emit radio frequency can give false signals. Like if you have a switched on radio in your room, taking your cell phone anywhere closer to it will generate beeps as radio frequencies will come in the way of signals from your detection mobile.
3. Once you ensure that all the electrical appliances are switched off then you can start detecting for hidden bugs in your room. The moment you hear a beep, get closer to that area. The sound will get stronger as you get closer to that spot.
4. When you find the hidden bug take it out and destroy it. Someone is playing games with you or trying to get details about your private or office life.
The cell phone detector is quite handy in case you are not carrying your standard bug finder with you on that day.

After you have established your new wireless network, you have to determine whether or not you are going to share resources among users. One of the most commonly shared peripheral devices is a printer. Sharing a printer across a wireless network is very easy to do.
In this example, we are going to go through the steps about how to share a printer that already exists and is attached to one of the users' computers. Sharing a printer through a print server and how to set one up is covered in a separate article.
It does not matter how many users share a printer. And it does not matter how many printers you want to share. In this example, we are going to share a single computer.
First, you need to set up printer sharing on the computer to which the computer is attached. This is accomplished by first going to the Control Panel and opening up the folder for Printers and Faxes. Right click the printer icon. Choose Properties. One of the tabs at the top of the menu box is labeled Sharing. Select this tab.
Click on the Share this Printer radio button. You are prompted to enter the name of the printer. Enter the name you want to identify the shared printer as across the network.
If you have different operating systems on you network, you will need to provide those by clicking on the Additional Drivers button. This gathers everyone is using Windows XP. As long as you have the device driver disc that came with the printer, installing different drivers for different operating systems is easily accomplished by providing the name of each operating system and loading these drivers. When loading this shared printer on the other machines, the drivers will be provided from the shared printer computer as necessary for each different OS.
From each remote computer, you begin the installation of the shared printer by opening Control Panel and clicking on Printers and Faxes. Click on Add a Printer. The Add a Printer Wizard begins the installation process. You can have the wizard browse your network for the printer or you can enter the exact shared printer name. Both work but I recommend you let the wizard browse for the printer. When it locates the printer's host computer and the printer is not displayed, be sure to click on the '+' icon to expand the attached network devices so that the printer is shown.
Upon completion of the installation process, you are given the choice to print a test page. I recommend you always do this. This is the time to find out if there is a problem, not when you have a report or bank statement you have to print to get to a meeting!
If this is the only shared printer on the network, I recommend that all users that will use this printer as their primary printer go to the Control Panel, click on Printers and Faxes, then right-click on the shared printer icon and then select Set as Printer Default. This way, any time you choose to print a document, it will be sent to this printer by default. If the computer that hosts the printer or the printer is not powered on, then you will be informed that the resource is unavailable. If you take no further action, the print request will be completed the next time you are able to connect to the printer.

Do you have a laptop of PC? Did you know that you need to maintain it in order for it to perform well? Sometimes, after using it for some time, it can not perform very well and it needs maintenance in order for it to perform well.
1. Always remember to backup your files at least once a week. You can use external hardisk to save your data. It's important so you'll not lose any critical information in case something happens to your laptop.
2. Clean your temporary files. You can do so by using Windows Tools or you can download CCleaner to clean your temporary files. Cleaning your temporary files will make your system to perform faster than previously.
3. Remember to defrag your hardisk to improve your PC performance. Defrag is like changing your files so your PC can find it faster. As the name suggest, defragmentation means reducing the amount of fragments and put it closer and continuously. I usually use PowerDefragmenter to defrag my files.
Scan your laptop or PC for any viruses. You can use free software such as Avast and AVG. Computer viruses can make your computer to become slow because it will consume your resources.
5. Checking your disc for errors is also important as it will attempt to repair any problems that exist in your file system. According to Microsoft Support website, "error checking (Chkdsk.exe) can repair problems related to bad sectors, lost clusters, cross-linked files, and directory errors"
So, in case you're wondering how to maintain your laptop or PC, you can do so by following the above tips.

We expect a lot out of our tablets and Pc’s, which means that iPad multitasking is just one more perk that we can benefit from. It seems that we always have more than one thing going at a time. If you think about it, when you are on your home desktop computer or even your laptop, you have music going, your Facebook page open, another web browser and possibly the work that you are actually supposed to be working on. The iPad gives you the ability to do all of this while shifting back and forth easily between the programs that you are using and without hassle. Finding the multi-task bar is easy, as all you have to do is tap the home screen of your iPad. The main screen will slide right out of the way and bring up the bar. This makes shifting around extremely easy for iPad multitasking. You will notice that the last six apps that you used or are currently using will be listed. Another little perk is that the volume slider, play, skip and back controls, and the brightness slider are all going to be right there at your fingertips. This makes the switch fast and easy. So, if you are listening to your music, writing your paper that is due tomorrow and surfing with your friends on Facebook, you can switch back and forth between all of your pages in a flash. If you are busy with one app and you want to start playing a game without losing your place you can easily switch between apps without closing them. No matter which apps you have open you can do everything on the go, and close the app at a moment’s notice without losing your place. Think coffee shop, airport, or long DMV lines. The iPad offers no shortage of time killers as well as utility apps and truly has something for everyone and is specially designed to multitask..
The Ease of iPad Multitasking
If you are concerned that switching back and forth between apps is going to be difficult then rest your fears. The iPad multitasking is designed to make things as easy as possible. Your programs, even if they are suspended, will go back to where you left off when you open them. This not only saves you time, but you don’t have to try and remember where you were. How many times have you been looking for something, finally found it and then forgot the page that you were on? For the programs that you may have been using that are still running in the background and you want to close, simply pressing on the icon and holding will force it to close. You must keep in mind that when doing this your current state will be lost and you will need to start over from the beginning. In any case, if a program is not acting correctly it can usually be corrected by simply closing it and re-opening just as you can on your laptop or iPhone.
To Use iPad Multitasking or Other Non iPad Devices
When it comes to looking at iPad multitasking and other devices that you can use to carry along, it is important to compare what the others are going to offer you. If you are only looking to read or if you are going to use one app at a time then it may make it a little easier to come to a decision. If you are someone that feels the need to do more than one thing at a time, this is a perfect solution to your dilemma. This is not to say that others devices are not great and wonderful in their own way for what they offer you. This is only to say that when you are looking to work with several apps at a time and you are looking for ease of use, the iPad is a great way to be able to get all of this done and more. No one is looking to spend a lot of time trying to get from one page to another. We all want the speed and convenience of being able to move swiftly and without pause, much as we do with our everyday lives. With iPad multitasking you are going to get a device that is small and easy to carry around with you everywhere that you go, and it can provide you with many if not all of the things that you require.

Windows is a great operating system, but it has an Achilles Heel in the form of it running slowly. This is a big problem which is actually quite easy to fix, if you know how. Many people will recommend buying “upgrades” to fix your system, but there are other extremely effective ways to make your Windows PC run fast. Here’s what you need to do…
By far the most effective way to make Windows run faster is to fix the problems that are causing it to run slow. Not many people (including computer ‘experts’) realize this – but Windows runs as fast as possible on your system… and as you use it, the system develops a lot of problems which act as “road blocks” and hold it back. Fixing the problems that often causes Windows to run slowly should be the primary goal of anyone who wants to speed up their system, and luckily, there’s a very simple and effective way to do that.
One of the best ways that anyone (literally) can speed up their system is to clean out the “registry” of Windows. The registry is a central database which stores a huge number of settings and information that your computer needs to run. Not many people know that the registry exists, but the fact is that this part of Windows is one of the most vital parts of your system, as its responsible for saving such details as your desktop wallpaper settings through to your stored Internet passwords.
The registry is the hidden library that every Windows system needs to run, but is also one of the biggest causes of computers running slowly. The problem is that as you use your system, it’s continually using 100’s of registry settings to help it recall many different settings that it needs to use each day. Unfortunately, because so many of these settings are open at once, Windows often gets confused and saves them incorrectly or in the wrong place. This causes the registry settings of your PC to become damaged and ineffective, leading your system to run extremely slowly and with errors. This is the most common reason why computers run slow, and fortunately, its actually a very simple problem to fix.
Before you even think about upgrading your system, you need to make sure that the ‘registry’ of Windows is working as smoothly as possible. And to do that, you can use a “registry cleaner” program to fix all the errors that are inside. Registry cleaner tools are widely used by people to help speed up their computers, as they automatically remove all the errors from your system. They are able to make your system faster by curing the errors that cause it to run slow, allowing your PC to be smooth and effective.

Support in IT has become a valuable service that in today's world, many companies can not do without. Technology affects our lives a lot and people in the 21st century have become so dependent on their computer that they actually can not do many things without it. IT services and support are often the best way to go to get the problem handled.
Regardless of where you live in the world, there are now a lot of services available that can help you should have any difficulties with your machine. Of course before you go with one of them you will need to check a few things. No one likes to contract services from a company that has a bad reputation and actually provides bad support.
Aspects to keep in mind
1. First of all the reputation of the IT services and support a company offers should be checked thoroughly. When you have a problem you'll want it solved as soon as possible, saving time, disruption and money. The internet is full of reviews of these companies and in order to check them it's easy to log-in on Google, type IT services and support company reviews and get a list with dozens of results to check out.
2. Reliability is another factor to keep in mind when looking for it services and support. When you contract the services of such a company you will want to make sure that they have experts who will be able to help you regardless of the problem you're dealing with. The lack in effectiveness will only result in a waste of time on your side and of course money. So go with a company that you know has computer experts who can always help you no matter what you're dealing with.
3. Professionalism is also a vital component one such company needs to have. Before you will delve into the services of a company you will need to make sure that it's professional. Just send them an e-mail and ask them about some of the it services and support they are offering and see the way they respond to you. Count in the time it took them to offer you feedback and analyze the words they will write to you. If they sound professional and friendly and of course, willing to let you know more about their services, then you have a winner. So when you have some problems with your computer now you know who and what to look for.

Advanced Step In Innovative Mobility (Asimo) is one of a very few robots that can walk reliably on two legs. It is fitted with twin cameras in its head and is powered by 34 individual motors.
Lately, researchers at the Honda Research Institute has demonstrated the invention by using it to move the arms and legs of an Asimo humanoid robot. Honda hopes that by 2020 the robot will be in the market, affordable and capable enough, to help with simple tasks. An elaborate electronic helmet will allow the wearer to control a robot by thought alone.
The person wearing the helmet only have to think about making the movement. Its inventors hope that one day the mind-control technology will allow people to do things like turn air conditioning on or off and open their car boot without putting their shopping down.
The helmet combines two different techniques for picking up activity in the brain. Sensors in the helmet detect electrical signals through the scalp in the same way as a standard electroencephalogram. The scientists combined this with another technique called near-infrared spectroscopy, which can be used to monitor changes in blood flow in the brain.
Brain activity picked up by the helmet is sent to a computer, which uses software to work out which movement the person is thinking about. It then sends a signal to the robot commanding it to perform the move. Typically, it takes a few seconds for the thought to be turned into a robotic action. This is being seen as landmark in the science of robotics
